• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) Food Grade audits via the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the American Institute of Baking (AIB). We achieved a 960 / 1000 on our latest audit from the AIB, which puts us in the top 5% of food grade warehouses nationally and rates us on process adherence, facility quality, overall cleanliness, and robustness of our pest control program
• HAZMAT Certifications via the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD), and Department of Transportation (DOT) 

We also maintain industry and business affiliations along with continuous learning relationships with the International Warehouse & Logistics Association (IWLA), Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), the Southeast Warehouse Association (SWA), Alliance for Chemical Distribution, and local Savannah Chamber of Commerce

Of course, we take delivery of imports from outside the US everyday and are well versed in the compliance needs across multiple verticals 

We also can export manufactured goods from the United States across the globe on multiple methods of transportation including Air, Ocean, Rail, and Over the Road (OTR) freight

We don’t possess any transportation assets in-house but maintain a tight relationship with multiple freight brokers who offer great pricing on drayage, FTL, LTL, FCL, LCL, and other modes of transportation….we would be pleased to obtain competitive quotes on your behalf and coordinate all aspects of your warehousing and transportation operations

We use the Extensiv 3PL system which has a lot of great features:

• EDI & API connections
• eCommerce store integrations for quick implementations
• Real-time inventory tracking

We’ve also developed in-house dock management software to book appointments, reduce dock congestion, and increase loading and unloading efficiency

Out in the warehouse, we use a mix of handheld and long distance Zebra scanners (best-in-class) to ensure product is properly tracked and accounted for as it moves in and out of the warehouse

Porter adheres to security best practices including but not limited to:

• Keycard access in and out
• Visitor sign in and out
• Employee electronic clock and out
